Rear Window Graphics in Toronto and the GTA | VanWrap.ca

A rear window graphic turns the back glass of your vehicle into a display. It is printed on perforated film: from behind, drivers see your full design or advertisement. From the driver's seat, you see out through the tiny holes in the film, the way you would through a fine screen.

For businesses, the rear window is prime space. It faces the drivers sitting behind you in traffic, at eye level, with nothing else competing for their attention. For private owners, it is a simple way to add a design, a name or a club graphic without touching the paint at all. It is also one of the quickest jobs in the shop, and it pairs well with door lettering when a full branding set is wanted.

What you get

  • Perforated one-way vision film, printed with your design in full colour
  • A clear view out from inside the vehicle, day and night
  • Business name, phone, website and services sized for traffic behind you
  • Graphics fitted to your exact rear window, including curved glass
  • Logos, photos and artwork printed and laminated for outdoor use
  • Shade and privacy for the cabin as a side benefit
  • Clean removal later, with the glass left as it was

Who it is for

Trades, delivery and service vehicles that spend their day in traffic. Any business that wants advertising on a vehicle without wrapping panels. Private owners who want a personal graphic that comes off cleanly.

How it works

  1. Quote. Tell us the vehicle and what the window needs to say. A photo of the rear of the vehicle helps us size the graphic correctly.
  2. Design proof. You approve the layout at the real size and shape of your window, wiper sweep and brake light areas taken into account.
  3. Print. The graphic is printed on perforated film and laminated with a clear overlaminate that keeps water and dirt out of the perforations.
  4. Install. The glass is cleaned thoroughly and the film is applied to the outside of the window in our Mississauga shop, trimmed to the edge of the glass.
  5. Pickup. We sit in the driver's seat with you to confirm the view out, and explain care, including going easy with the rear wiper.

Questions

Can I really see out through it? Yes. The film is full of small holes, and your eyes focus past them from inside, much like looking through a screen door. The view is somewhat shaded, which most drivers get used to quickly, and at night it works the same way.

Will my rear wiper or defroster ruin it? The defroster lines are inside the glass, so they are not affected. The wiper sweeps across the film and will wear it gradually over a long period, which is one reason rear window graphics are treated as a renewable item rather than a permanent one.

How long does a rear window graphic last? Perforated film works hard: sun, weather and wiper passes all land on it. Expect it to look good for a few seasons of daily driving, and replacing it is a quick job since we keep your design on file.
